Low Calorie Lasagna

A healthy, high protein, low calorie lasagna recipe that uses fat free cheese, low fat beef, spinach and whole wheat lasagna noodles.
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ lbs lean ground beef
  • 6 oz whole wheat lasagna noodles
  • 2 ½ cups spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups fat free cottage cheese
  • 9 oz spinach
  • 8 egg whites
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 1 cup fat free mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. Cook ground beef until brown.
  2. Boil noodles as directed by package.
  3. Sautee spinach and mushrooms.
  4. Spray a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray and spread a few tablespoons of the spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the pan.
  5. Mix the rest of the ingredients together except for fat free mozzarella cheese.
  6. Lay down ½ the noodles and top with half the cottage cheese mix.
  7. Layer with the rest of the noodles and top with other half of the mixture.
  8. Lastly, put cheese on top.
  9. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
