Smoothies are one of the best pick-me-ups in the morning, and (can be) a very healthy snack after a workout. We chose this orange smoothie recipe because it’s a raw smoothie, and can be a vegan drink if you remove the yogurt (with not much loss to the flavor).
This one is packed with vitamin C from the oranges, and loaded with other vitamins and minerals from the banana and dates. If you add the yogurt it might have several times more protein, but it’s not meant as a protein shake. This is meant as a raw, and vegan drink, and is yummy either way.
The taste of this smoothie might also remind you of an Orange Creamsicle as well. The mixture of the almond milk, oranges, and fruit blend to give it that creamy yet tangy flavor with a smooth texture you’ll really love.
Substitute whatever non-dairy milk you’d like, instead of almond milk…you could actually go for dairy milk if you’d like. Add as much or as little yogurt as you please, and remove it if going vegan. You could also remove all milk from the mix and just add water without losing much.
I think you’ll enjoy this one!
