Valentine’s Day is one of the best Holidays of the year, but is full of temptation. Easiest way to avoid fattening confections is asking for only flowers, perfume, and diamonds from your sweetheart. However, if that doesn’t work out as planned you may need a game-plan for the day. Here are some low-calorie Valentine’s treats that are an easy win to indulge in. Have a fun Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day Cookie
Decorating heart-shaped cookies on Valentine’s Day is a traditional treat. And, if offered a special home-baked cookie it’s tough to say “no” to your sweetheart chef. Average cookie is only 65 calories – frosting adding about 35 calories. But, at less than 100 calories just say “thank you sweetheart!”
Heart Candies
The original Sweethearts Candy has only 110 calories in the entire box. Which means each one is only about 3 calories each! Not a cheat to enjoy this sweet.
Russell Stover Chocolates
Russell Stover chocolates are a tradition for many. Averaging about 70 calories each, you can enjoy three at just over 200 calories. This Stover should not be passed over.
Chocolate-covered Strawberries
Chocolate-dipped strawberries are a top treat on Valentine’s. At about 75 calories each, this ultimate favor can be savored.
Godiva Dark Chocolate Truffle Heart Biscuit
Never thought I could find a Godiva with less than a ton of calories (and fat), but this signature sweet is not to be passed up. At only 53 calories each, having 4 barely takes you over 200 calories.
Hershey’s Kisses
Three Hershey’s Kisses are only 77 calories. Not bad – save me a Kiss!
Glass of Red Wine
Ok, so I threw this in. Not candy, but definitely a top treat enjoyed this day of romance. Not to worry – at only 125 calories per glass it’s only a guilty pleasure if you drink the entire bottle.
